Only 5 more days until our big QLD trip. Luke is staying at home so I need to get my head around flying with the two girls plus bump and get some stuff organized.
I need some fun plane type activities for Tannah. Kate printed off some lacing cards which I'm going to laminate and punch holes in.Just need to buy the shoelaces. Might go to the cheap shop and get some stickers/stamps and a scrapbook too. Unsure what to do with Willow. Sitting still is not really her thing. She does like to eat play doh and I never let her (cause I'm so mean!) maybe lol... Seriously considering a trail run with an antihistamine in case things go pear shaped. But I need to know before I give it to her on a plane if it's going to hype her up. That would be BAD. I'm thinking sultanas might be fun and a little time consuming, I'm guessing ol'faithful boob will come into play.
My girls love the very plasticky and flammable looking My Little Pony's. My wooden and steiner toy collection rocks. The most fights are over those hideous ponies (admittedly it was I who introduced the first one! DUH) Am also seriously considering 2 brand new "emergency ponies" as bribery.
What's all this you say-Bribery? Plastic toys? Drugging kids? It all sounds very UN hippy-la-la no doubt.
Flying on a plane is not a normal situation. Taking two small kids alone is some sort of challenge for "who dares wins". All normal plans of attack go out the window in favor of not locking us in the toilet for the whole flight. I'm open to suggestion, consumerism, bribery, drugs and junk food to make it as smooth as possible.
What's a little hypocracy now and then huh??
